KID GARDEN EDUCATIONAL TOURS
Kid Garden Mentors is a service learning project where Elementary Schools visit the garden twice per month from September to May to learn about gardening, science, cooking, and nutrition.
The high school students assign activities and lead the elementary students through fun and hands-on activities that promote healthy and active living.
Garden activities also focus on next generation science standards. High school youth lead these activities in the Garden and in the Kitchen Café. Some of the schools we've brought already have been Smythe, Hagginwood Elementary, and Harmon Johnson Elementary. If you're interested in a tour please contact us at eatfromthegarden@gmail.com. |
